Mexican vital records are often called the richest genealogy records in the world. The civil registration system, which dates back to 1859, records births, marriages, and deaths, but also yields much more biographical and kinship information than U.S. vital records. Learn how to find and analyze these online collections. We also discuss tools to identify and locate Mexican place names.
